Stoke Breune to Stanton Low Park (St. Peters Church) (Day #6)

by Keith May 13, 2021 No Comments

After a quiet night just outside the tunnel, its time to move on. The met office is predicting rain this afternoon, so we want to get these locks done and out of the way before it arrives..

Lock 18 was being worked on, much to the dismay of a pair of boats coming up the flight – who had breasted both boats together so one person can move two boats whilst the rest deal with the locks – only problem.. CRT had a work boat right on the bottom entrance to Lock 18..  so they could not go in together and had to untie the boats, take them in one at a time, then tie them up (I presume) to do the rest of the locks..

Past Kingfisher Marina, Yardley Gobion..

And down came the rain!

That’s all the photos you are getting for this one..   other than…

Eventually, we reached St. Peters Church and moored up for the rest of the day!
