The Braunston Shuffle (for a signal)

by Keith December 10, 2018 No Comments

OK.. Time to call it..  the signal is rubbish and totally unworkable..  and to add to that – with the possibility of a frozen canal by Friday.. the toilet tank is pretty full also..

Time to go out and wander with the phone – and check some signal strength spots. Managed to find a spot where there seems to be good 4G..  and there’s a spot big enough for the boat.. But.. will it be here when we get to moor up ???

So its a services run to Braunston Marina – but first..  stop at Midland Chandlers on route to get some engine oil and an oil filter (yes, the chandlers has a mooring outside 🙂 ).. lets hope when we get back from the marina we get a spot with a good signal – the one I’m eyeing up is still free..  fingers crossed..

Eurica.. The space is still there..  we in, moored, connected, and sort-of ready for the freeze, the only thing better would be a shop a little closer.. but there is one just up the high street (shame its such a big climb up the hill to get to it!).. and there’s the Boathouse – so that’ll do!
