Swarkstone Junction to The Ragley Boat Stop

by Keith April 2, 2019 No Comments

Damn it’s cold!.. and wet!..  and windy!..  From such sunny calm summer weather yesterday.. to today.. certainly not wanting to move today (Daw let the cats out accidentally..  ah.. a reason to stay.. nope.. he got them back.. damn)  – so we need to move as we ran out of gas last night – so no more cooking or coffee (Noooo!!!) for us until we get some – plus.. and the car’s booked for a Thursday pickup – so we have to move.

Moved on down the T&M – got to The Ragley Boat Stop and thought..  stuff it..  were pulling in.

There’s a pub.. so food for tonight is sorted.. there’s POWER POLES!! WITH TAPS!  (OMG! services for boats!  If more pubs and overnight stops did this..  it would make pulling in a lot more attractive) so that’s it – I’m calling it.. were stopping.. gas or no gas.

There was a nice surprise in the bow when I went to hook up the  (that I wont put an image up for)..  it seems the cats are moving up a level.. a rabbit..and a half!  Bunny Appendages anyone..   they were not lucky for the rabbit.. maybe they will be for you! 😀

Pub grub tonight (and I’m here with a beer, working.. ish 😀 ).. move onto a marina to get gas tomorrow..  but for now.. the boat’s hooked up, wash is on.. engines off..  and the batteries are getting a good long overdue soak charge..  we may also run a cleaning cycle in the washing machine as there is plenty of power to spare for a change!
