From the Bunker to The Barbridge Inn

by Keith May 5, 2019 No Comments

We set off from the Bunker mooring this morning with a plan to stop in Nantwich for some supplies and to fill the water tank.

Dropped through the two locks at Hack Green and arrived in Nantwich..    boat after boat after boat.. and not a single mooring spot to be had..   went through the whole of Nantwich and out the other side to get to the water point.

Waited 10 minutes for the boat that was there to clear off..   but no..  walked over and knocked as they were not even using the water point..  they apologised for being on the water point but had a phone call to make – but offered to move the boat back as it was in the middle of the mooring – just enough for us to get on the point and start the water running.

After 30 minutes..  tank was full and we decided to not turn round and see if there was now a spot free..  instead – keep going – go past the LLangollen canal and stop at the Barbridge Inn and have dinner there instead.
