Sutton Wharf to Hinckley

by Keith November 13, 2018 2 Comments

An early start to the day today..   the 3G signal here is rubbish, and I have several meetings to attend in the afternoon.. so I need to get us relocated to somewhere with a good signal, that we can stay put at for a little while.. so its onto Hinckley again..

The microwave decided to go pop a few days ago.. so thankfully there is a rubbish and water point here, and whilst it doesn’t state electrical goods are not to be disposed of here, it also doesn’t state they cant (like it does for oil etc)..   so its time to get rid of the old broken one, and look to replace it when were next near a big supermarket..   We could get one delivered, but then its a case of getting it from the parents back to the boat..  and sometimes we cant park the hire car close..  so lets see how it goes over the next week or so..  I can see a few next to the canal that we will be near next week..  and the microwave popcorn will have to wait!

Even at 8am..  the suns out.. and its not too cold.  Next week will be a different story.. but for today.. I’m enjoying the sun whilst its here!

Its 10am..  and were moored up again in Hinckley, almost the same spot we were in several weeks ago..  time to start the work day..

There is an Asda in Nuneaton which is walking distance from the canal for a cheap Microwave if you are going that way. Also a Sainsbury’s if you pick the right bridges

      Hi Brian,
We will be heading south, towards Coventry, and then to Braunston – so there should be something along the way.. Google maps is showing a few that could be good candidates, so we will see whats there when we get closer.
      Cheers
      Keith.
