Dunchurch Pools Marina to Braunston

by Keith June 24, 2020 No Comments

We didn’t get to move on the day after Tabitha escaped – as she refused to come back to the boat. In the end, we were here for 2 nights – by the 3rd day, she came in to get some food (obviously, the mice we not that good here) – so she was locked down below, along with the other cats. Were aiming for Braunston today, and hopefully, if we can get a spot with a signal, we can stay for a little while and let her out for another few days.

It was a very quick run to Braunston – we didn’t stop on route to get water, we have enough on board for the few days we plan to stay here, and if we cant get the spot we need, were going to continue on through.

Thankfully, we managed to get moored up at the end of the run – slightly overhanging the mooring limit boards, but as close to the boat in-front as we could.

The mooring outside the boathouse was also full, with the same 2 boats that were there when we were just before lock-down – so I guess they are taking advantage of the fact the pub is closed.

With the cats released.. and Tabitha making a break for it through the hedge..   Its time for a few photos and to get on with some work!

Over the following days, there were several runs to the Post Office..    and its up a fairly steep hill – but.. the view on the way back is a good one!

Anna also asked me to get a few shots of the roof garden whilst we were here…
