(North) Rugby to Newbold on Avon

by Keith March 22, 2020 1 Comment

A short run today of less than an hour.  We want to move on from here – as Shamus was getting stressed with the other local cats, and making a nuisance of himself is not a good idea in these times – the last thing we want is some uneducated moron attacking him because “There’s a foreign can carrying the virus in our garden!”..  so were out of here to an area we already know will be safe for all the crew – not just the humans!

Its a very nice day for cruising today – compared to yesterday.. and there are lots of boats moving with quite a few of them being hire boats – I guess this is going to be the summer of the hire boat!

We would normally look to call in at the Barley Mow – but we already know that it will be closed..   so that’s out..  Oh well.

And onto tonight’s mooring. It’s only a 48 hour spot – most of the 14 day stretch is taken up – but, I will keep an eye out over the coming days – if a gap appears, we will move back to it.

For now.. there is a shop (hopefully stocked) along with a post office so Anna can send out the influx of orders she has had over the last few days!..   For tonight.. let’s see if Fishsmiths is open and get a good take away for tonight’s meal – save the food we have for if we need to move in a day or so and camp out in the middle of nowhere..

( Actually..  scratch that.. closed on Sundays..    tomorrow then! )

Just be safe, you folks! It is difficult to be, these days. I hope you find safe moorings and all that you need! Blessings. 🖤
