We recently decided to sell up and move aboard a narrowboat. After several holidays, we decided that this was going to be our retirement plan. In early 2017 we thought “Why should we wait.. By the time were retired, we may not be fit enough to do it or enjoy it..” so we pulled the pin and went for it.
We now live aboard our narrowboat EMMELINE.. cruising the Inland network and having a more relaxed life (occasionally!).
I work from home with the assistance of a 4G/WiFi router on-board (and a very accommodating company), with occasional trips into the office by way of a hire car (or train depending on where we are). The kids are home schooled, with locks providing more than enough PE for them.. and the boss.. keeps us all fed and makes sure we dont run out of anything!
