Winter Mooring in Banbury

by Keith October 27, 2017 No Comments

And were here..   Our home base for the winter period 2017-2018.  Not a bad location, no mooring rings or posts.. so the pins are needed.. and no nearby water or rubbish point – but not a bad location.  The only down side.. the nearby Douwe Egberts coffee factory..  which stinks if the wind is in the wrong direction.. and has a coffee bean shaker that goes off any time of the day..  or night.. and it sounds like a 2 tonne jack hammer!

But..  there is a Tesco within walking distance, the car is parked close by at the Spiceball car park..  which when the nights are warm.. seems to become a local dogging spot..  Ohh er…

Another boat is with us at this location as well.. the cats enjoy the fields next door, and the dogs have a good loop which they can walk each morning and evening.. so I think were going to be OK here.
