Banbury back to Cropredy (again)

by Keith March 2, 2020 1 Comment

Time to go back to Cropredy after a night in Banbury. We need to head further south though to get to a turning point past the Banbury Tramline moorings..  but its not that far..

The shopping from the town centre is done – as are the parcels that need posting. Were going to pull in again near to Hennef way to get the food in from Tesco. Normally, we would stop at the old winter mooring location – but as Thames water are digging a massive hole near there, the bridge and road that you walk over/down to get to Tesco has been closed off – much to the dislike of those at the winter mooring – as its added a trek across the fields to get to a road somewhere that you can then use to get to Tesco’s!

Stopped short of the old winter mooring – next to the field that you need to go through..   Kids sent on to get the food shopping whilst I see about catching up with some work.

Once there back – its back onto Cropredy..  pull in at the water point to get a tank of water and to dispose of the rubbish – and then up the lock  to the mooring where  Luna went missing.

And..  still no sign of her..  This is the last few days we can stay here – come the weekend.. we must get moving northwards so we can make it to the end of the Erewash canal in May for the boat to be blacked (with luck)
