River Thames

Hampton Court to Walton-upon-Thames

by Keith June 10, 2021 No Comments

Time to say our goodbye to Hampton court one more time – we will be back again…   were not finished in Kingston just yet 🙂

Once up the lock.. it’s time to fill the water tank..

ONE AND A HALF HOURS LATER!   We can finally move on again..   And yes.. were using a shorter hose..  still no bloomin quicker!  I do wish Thames Water had not insisted EA change these taps..  there a frigging nightmare now!

Down past the houseboats on Tagg’s Island..  and yes, there all named (zoom the GPS track in to see if I’m right!)

And some are for sale…   ( fancy a riverside home…  https://www.watersideresidential.co.uk/ )

And..  these two “Slumboats” are still there…  ( http://www.friendsofhurstpark.org.uk/index.html )

Hopefully.. Garrick’s temple to Shakespeare will be open again soon..

And it looks like Platt’s Eyot had a bit of bad luck..

And another riverside property up for sale..

Past more…

Past the Anglers..   with our mooring for the next few days in the distance..

And – with a lot of persuasion, finally got the mooring pins in through the hardcore towpath..   a mooring that you pay for – without anywhere to tie ropes to..   what are we paying for!

With the next few days “view from the hatch”..
