Kennet and Avon Canal

Hungerford to Froxfield

by Keith June 12, 2018 No Comments

We left Hungerford soon after “Meandering Mo” had already left, and “Judy” had pulled back into the space vacated by Mo..

Before we left.. we had to go and find Tiggy – as she is in season again – and tarting about with any other cat she can find..  eventually we rounded her up and hurded her back onboard the boat..  and we were good to go..

There are a few churches on the canal over this way..

( Could not get any closer for this one..  nowhere to stop )

And this is a new one for us..   A lock, with a swing bridge in the middle of it!   The sign does state to open the swing bridge before filling the lock..  well.. of course!

Eventually we got to a quiet little spot, I had a phone call to do, and the cats were again scratching to get out – so were staying here for tonight.

Tomorrow..  we have a guest blogger..   who will also be driving the boat!
