Quick run this morning just to move from John Lewis over to the Richmond side of the river. Whilst it was surprisingly quiet last night.. its still not dog and cat friendly having a 6 foot wall next to the boat – and no grass.. so we moved over to the other side as planned..
Very little space, but we were lucky that the pilot of a cruiser which just arrived and pulled in – and boats either side of him pulled out.. he was still there and I asked if he could move up slightly to make a gap big enough for us.. ( Whilst on canals – 62ft is not really an issue.. on rivers where, unless there commercial trip boats, most are under 40ft long.. so easier to moor up) – which he did so we could get in. He was all packed up too.. ready to go off – so we were very lucky that he was still here, and agreed to move his boat after already tying of the ropes!
Got pulled in.. settled down and the cats are off exploring – but still very unsure of these wave things that keep bashing the bank and splashing them (as they have not had to deal with waves this big from passing passenger boats moving at speed before! 🙂 )
Dawson’s out meeting friends in Kingston.. and Anna and Celeste are off out tonight – so its me on my todd. Guess I can focus on getting the changes to Anna’s site done ( https://www.theenchantedgoddess.co.uk )
Not sure when were moving next.. this is officially a 24 hour mooring – but at least three of these boats have not moved since we arrived yesterday (and are still here now with no sign off life) and I had a look at the mooring.. so we will see how long we will be in the Kingston area.
OK – So park ranger came past.. cant stay here for a second night.. time to move on 🙂
