Temple Lock to Mill Meadows Moorings, Henley-upon-Thames

by Keith June 21, 2021 No Comments

OK. It’s 4:30am..   yea,   IN THE MORNING!   And it’s time to get a move on.  The cat’s are not happy – they were not let out last night, as cat wrangling at stupid-o-clock is not happenening.. so they were all kept locked in last night.

Celeste and Dawson are also up to help and get on with jobs whilst we are moving as a lot more rain – according to Mr. Met Office – is due at 9am – so I want to see if we can get to Henley, get moored up before it rains, and the yellow boards that are already showing don’t go red whilst were on the move!  Fingers crossed that there is space this time for us!

But..    it’s a nice sunrise over Temple Lock weir either way!

Past more riverside homes..

And..  Morning Sue..  That’s “No Problem XL”..  a wider version of their previous narrowboat “No Problem”..     haven’t had any updates on your blog recently..  hope everything is still ok ?

Past a “pop up” restaurant..

And on past Temple Island Folly

Down the Henley Straight..   keeping out of the racing lanes..  as yes.. even at this time in the morning, training must continue..

Through the main section of Henley and thankfully, a wide selection of moorings to choose from.

It’s 8am and were moved and moored up – time to start a days work 🙂

But..   we still need to pay for the mooring…

..and someone has found this early start far far too early!
