Another glorious day today.. time to move on – as we now have all the cats back on board..
As the engine is running.. and our target for this afternoon is another water point.. the washing machines on – may as well use the electricity generated by the engine whilst moving (better than running it whilst stationary!)
Managed to get a few snaps on route today…
Heron perched on a fallen tree…
CRT long stay moorings on one side with private on the other.. just south of Kings Langley..
And a boat bow fender that I’m sure they don’t want to damage on a lock gate! All made from rope and tied to be an octopus..
Some nice houses too.. but still don’t want another one quite yet..
Not every boat on the canal is a narrowboat or a wide beam.. Nice example of a dutch barge..
Arrived at the water point just before Cassio bridge lock.. in use.. so – reverse back to a mooring, pins out for the night and try again tomorrow. As soon as the engine was off and the doors open.. 4 cats running in all directions.. FREEDOM!
With luck, we should be close to the Slough Arm of the GU tomorrow.. and in Slough on Sunday so I can go into work on Monday.. boooo…
You spotted my knoctopus! Thanks for mentioning him on your travels! He’s had a few close encounters with the lock gates, he’s a little dirtier these days, but because I made him myself I’m happy to make repairs.
