Semmington (Lock 15-16) to Lock 28 (Lower Cain Hill Flight)

by Keith July 8, 2018 No Comments
Welcome to Caen Hill Locks.. Devises

It’s time to go back up the Caen Hill flight – tomorrow.

Arrived at the mooring at the bottom of the flight. There is another boat here that will be going up the flight tomorrow – so we agreed that we will go up together.

Thankfully..  after they close the flight each day – all the locks are emptied.  This means that all the locks will be set for us so we can go straight in each and up.. that should half the work tomorrow!

We met a hire boat at the water point on the way here – and they are also planning on going up the flight tomorrow..  but they are staying here tonight – and were going to be at the base of the flight first thing.  We did state that if they can get there for 8-8:30 – we can share the load going up the locks.  If they get there by the time that we set off – should be a good trip up.
