A quick relocation in Cropredy to ride out the storm

by Keith February 8, 2020 No Comments

Were moving above the lock today – after pulling in at the marina to fill up and empty the tanks.

There predicting quite a lot of rain and high winds, so we’d rather be above the lock than below it – as in the past with storms like this, its always advisable to be above a lock – as the water levels will not go crazy and we should be quite safe.

We mad to mess about at the marina for a while, and drift around the pound whilst waiting for a space on the services dock.. so the GPS track may look a bit crazy on this one 😀

** Update **

It didn’t half rain either..   lots of local flooding.. road next to the canal is under water and the tow path below the lock is totally submerged – so moving up here was a good idea – even though we lost a cat after doing so!
