Stoke Bruerne Top Lock to Blisworth Mill Bridge

by Keith August 10, 2020 No Comments

After becoming the usual part of the tourist attraction, which always happens when we moor up at a popular spot – it’s time to move on – first however, time to backup to the water point and top off the water tank at the water point above the lock and opposite the canal museum. It took so long to fill the tank, we saw the trip boat come and go at least twice whilst we were here!

Once thats done – it’s time to go through the 2.8km of Blisworth tunnel.

Thankfully, there were only 3 other boats coming the other way..   and yea..  sorry – that light you could see was not “the light at the end of the tunnel” 😀  it was my tunnel light – you’re only half way through – keep going…

Once out the other end, we need to pull in as we have post to send out and there is a post office quite close.   Found a nice spot, and decided to stay here for tonight.
