… it’s another three weeks yet!

by Keith April 16, 2020 1 Comment

The Easter long weekend has come and gone..  and yes.. there were people out and about during the weekend, not as many as I expected – but they were there.

And the news is in..   it’s another three weeks of lock-down to go.  Ah well..

Its been a lovely week so far, the sun has been out, and the washer has been going on each day, with the engine used for 30 minutes to warm up and get us over the washers heating phase – once that’s done, engine off again and let the solar panels do the rest – including the spin cycle! (once or twice the clouds covered up the sun and the washer tripped the mains by dropping the voltage too low – but that’s workable!)

Plus the cats are getting rather chilled here and yes – whilst were moving this coming weekend to do a full services run and get a new gas bottle..  I think we may come back to this spot – if it’s still vacant on our return!

Starting to get used to seeing the same cars arrive in the car park..   stay put for a while.. then leave again!     I’m pretty sure that driving to a car park and sitting on your arse for 30 minutes whilst parked under the shade of a tree is not classed as a daily dose of exercise 🙂

Also slightly getting used to the smell from the locals – when they spark a joint up!  But it doesn’t half stink.    “Ah.. Cops daren’t come round this way..” – just as one does a slow drive past and its scrambles to turn down the drum ‘n’ bass and look like you are not up to something – whilst I go back down below laughing my head off…

So – that plan of getting the boat blacked – and getting back to the Thames earlier this year..   yea..

I’d wish you fair winds and following sea… but it likely does not apply. So, Godspeed on your journeys!💕
